Iris Lund
Documentary and portrait photographer. Copenhagen, since 2011.

Working slowly
I grew up in Esbjerg, between fishing boats and ferry terminals. After studying at the Danish School of Media and Journalism, I spent eight years as a staff photographer on a daily newspaper — fast deadlines, one picture per story.
In 2017 I left to work the other way round: one subject, for years. I shoot on film with a Leica M6 and a Mamiya 7, develop everything myself and print each edition in my darkroom in Vesterbro.
