The slow way is the holiday
Sifnos has no airport, and that is half its charm. A ferry from Athens or a short flight to Milos, then the sea does the rest.

Two ways to arrive
Choose your route
By ferry from Piraeus
The classic route. Ferries leave the port of Piraeus (Athens) every day in summer, a little less often in spring and autumn.
By plane to Milos
Short flights connect Athens to Milos, the neighbouring island. From Milos, a ferry reaches Sifnos in about an hour.
Book your ferry early
In July and August, buy your ferry tickets as soon as your week is booked: Saturday boats fill up fast. Eleni sends you the timetable that matches your arrival day.
Your arrival day
Saturday, from Athens to the terrace
Leave Piraeus
Board the morning ferry with a coffee and a koulouri. Sit outside: the islands start after an hour.
Serifos, then Sifnos
The ferry stops at Serifos, then turns into the bay of Kamares, the port of Sifnos.
Taxi or hire car
Taxis wait at the port; hire cars can be delivered there. The house is 15 minutes away.
Check-in
Lunch at the port and a first swim, then Eleni welcomes you at the house with the keys and a cold drink.
Your first sunset
On the terrace. Welcome to Sifnos.
Where the house is
On the west coast of Sifnos, between the port and the villages. The exact address is sent with your booking confirmation.
