Bowls for slow mornings
Bowls, cups and plates thrown one at a time in a small studio in the old cotton mill — and evening classes for anyone who wants to feel clay rise between their hands.

Out of the last firing
Every piece is thrown, trimmed and glazed here in Leipzig, in batches of a few dozen. When a batch is gone, the next one comes out of the kiln a few weeks later — never quite the same.
Clay keeps a record of every hand that shapes it.
A thumbprint under a handle, a ring left by the wheel, a glaze that ran a little further than planned. I keep those marks: they are what make a bowl yours rather than anybody’s.
Six wheels, six people, one evening to feel the clay rise.
Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and all of Saturday — no experience needed.
Visit the studio
The studio is in Hall 14 of the Spinnerei, the former cotton mill in Plagwitz, between painters’ studios and a bookbinder. Come and pick up an order, choose a piece off the shelf or just watch the wheel turn.
