Before your first class

No. The evening class and the Saturday workshop are both made for complete beginners. If you have thrown before, tell me when you book and I will give you a harder exercise.

Clothes that can get dirty, closed shoes and short fingernails. Aprons are provided. Clay washes out of cotton easily; it is less kind to wool and silk.

Your pieces need to dry, be trimmed, fired, glazed and fired again: about three weeks. I e-mail you when they are ready to collect at the studio. I can also post them in Germany for €6.90.

Usually two or three keepers in an evening class and four to six in the Saturday workshop. I fire the ones you choose; the others go back into the clay bin.

Yes. Everything is fired to 1,260 °C with lead-free glazes, so your bowls can go into the dishwasher and the microwave.

Yes: €65 per person for the evening class and €145 per person for the Saturday workshop. When you book, choose the number of people and the total is calculated for you.

Yes. Book all six places on one date for a birthday, a team outing or a hen party. For a different day, write to me and we will find one.

Cancellation is free up to 72 hours before the class. After that, you can send someone in your place, or I keep the amount as credit for another date.

Sixteen, or twelve when accompanied by a parent who also takes part. Wheels are heavy machines and the class lasts a while.

Yes, for the evening class or the Saturday workshop. Write to me with the name to put on it and I will send you a printed card by post.
