The French press
The simplest method for a bold cup.

The French press steeps the coffee in the water, like tea: it gives a round, bold cup.
The recipe
- 30 g of coffee, coarse grind (like coarse salt).
- 500 g of water at 94 °C.
- Stir, then put the lid on without pressing.
- Wait 4 minutes.
- Break the crust, skim off the foam, then press gently.
Our barista’s tip
Serve straight away: coffee left on the grounds keeps brewing and turns bitter.
